Planning permission granted: Surbiton Road

by Paul.

On its way! We’re thrilled that this mixed-use scheme on Surbiton Road has been granted planning permission.

Behind the listed façade, the existing buildings will be partially demolished to make way for nine residential units with flexible retail and coworking space on the ground floor. Roof gardens will top off the four storeys and a communal courtyard at the base will bring the development together. The best of old meeting new.

Loxley Stables shortlisted for Offsite Awards 2020

by Paul.

Loxley Stables, our development of three timber framed houses in Hertfordshire, has been shortlisted for the Offsite Construction Awards 2020. The houses were constructed using off-site manufactured timber frames, and clad on site by the main contractor.

“The Offsite Construction Awards reward outstanding examples of prefabrication and factory-based methods, products and systems. Founded in 2015, the Awards celebrate the offsite industry and promote the benefits of offsite as a more modern, sustainable and streamlined method of construction. ”

Yorkshire farm conversion shortlisted for RIBA Yorkshire Regional Awards 2020

by Paul.

We’re chuffed that our farm conversion in Yorkshire has been shortlisted for the RIBA Regional Awards 2020! The list includes some fantastic work and we’re looking forward to seeing how everyone gets on.

Set on a spacious site in Yorkshire, this cluster of derelict farm buildings has been lovingly restored to create a new family home. The original barns are linked with new interventions including frameless glass links and a ‘floating’ weathering steel clad extension. Check out the rest of the project here.

Don’t Move, Improve! 2020

by Paul.

Our House in Brixton was longlisted for the Don’t Move, Improve awards this year. The exhibition opened on February 11th with the awards ceremony and will be open until April 30th, at the Building Centre in London. We had a great evening browsing the brilliant projects and seeing the winners collect their awards!

“The exhibition features 113 projects completed in the last two years in Greater London, chosen for their exceptional creativity, cost-effectiveness, environmental considerations, contextual design and livability of space.

Don’t Move, Improve! – now celebrating its 10th year – showcases the diversity and character of homes being re-designed in London to encourage homeowners to take on a project of their own. Find a wealth of inspiration including the seven winning projects from this year’s competition, a library of innovative materials used in the featured homes and a showcase of how different projects achieve the same goal or overcome common issues.”
