Timber skeleton extension in Suffolk, 2016

← View all

On a sensitive site in the Woolverstone Conservation area on the banks of the River Orwell in Suffolk, this timber frame extension was completed in 2016.

A staggered glulam timber skeleton and glass construction reinterprets the 17th Century details of the original sawmill and creates a flexible dining and utility area that feeds out onto the mature garden to the East and raised herb planting beds to the South.
