We were chuffed to have Loxley Stables shortlisted in the Small Housing Development category at the Brick Awards 2019. The Brick Awards, which are organised by the Brick Development Association, are regarded as ‘the Oscars of the brick industry’. Thanks to York Handmade, who supplied the lovely linear bricks for this project, we were invited to attend the brilliant awards evening in London.

Huge thanks to Cake for inviting us to their summer party & open house on Friday. It was fab to see everyone and have a peek at some great projects, even if we do have orange stair envy!
ADM, who designed and supplied the mechanical ventilation & heat recovery (MVHR) system at our listed farm conversion in Yorkshire, have written a case study explaining the system and equipment required for the project. If you don’t know much about MVHR, this feature is a great read which covers the basics as well as the specific constraints of this particular building – check it out here:
We love this greenhouse by Cultivar, which completes the courtyard kitchen garden at our listed farm conversion in Yorkshire. The greenhouse abuts an original stone & brick wall, which was restored as part of the conversion works. Check out Cultivar’s website to see more!
Congrats to York Handmade for making the Brick Awards 2019 shortlist with Loxley Stables!
Thanks to the Yorkshire Post for the article – check it out here.

We are delighted to be sponsoring the Tuba City, Arizona, timestation of James and Tom’s Race Across America (RAAM) – the world’s toughest ultra-endurance bike race. They are aiming to raise £125,000 for Prevent Breast Cancer, the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer.
James is a consultant breast surgeon at The Nightingale Centre and Prevent Breast Cancer Research Unit in Manchester, which specialises in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. With a background in ultra-marathon mountain and trail running, he believes RAAM will enable him and Tom to raise a significant amount of money for Prevent Breast Cancer.
